Pros

I had an amazing two years at Firebox. A fun place to work in, everyone's having a laugh and working hard simultaneously. I had a huge amount of autonomy within my role, which may not be for some, but I really enjoyed discovering problems and executing them myself. Lots of socials, beer pong etc. A millennial environment. I felt there was a lot of trust within the company, a rare quality.

Cons

Flat management which could be a con for some. Can be hard to focus but the ability to work from home helped that. In my role, I didn't have a position I could be promoted to.

Pros

I've worked at Firebox for over 10 years at various levels and I still love it. People tend to stick around for a long time, but that doesn't mean we're not eager for new blood or that we're cliquey! Cliche or not, Firebox are my work family. We work hard and play hard. They're the best bunch of people to go out for a drink with and our parties are legendary. We're still growing and shaping our brand and destiny so everything always feels possible - even if it takes us a while sometimes to get there. This is an amazing place for the self-starter and those keen to learn and take responsibility.

Cons

I might be institutionalised. It's hard to say. Sometimes the office can be a little quiet. Sometimes we might lose sight of the priorities. There's not a huge amount of pipeline and development plans. You have to be an auto-didact. Big word that. Clever. It's true though. Firebox needs people with get up and go and who don't wait for permission.
