Pros

I received a lot of positive mentoring from my Manager, the VP of Business Development who showed me - someone with not a lot of business experience (2nd year college student) - how to do Marketing & Appointment Setting. I helped the company over the Summer on a full time basis to earn money for my school tuition. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would love to work again at Equilibrium once I graduate college!

Cons

The tempo is fast paced, sometimes a challenge for someone not yet proficient in their role.

Pros

There are a lot of great reasons to work at Equilibrium. As a current employee, I felt compelled to share my personal feedback as a response to the recent negative posts. I have worked at Equilibrium for several years and the recent remarks, made by a troubled ex-employee, cannot be further from the truth. Equilibrium is a place to grown professionally and personally. If one doesn’t grow they fall behind. Writing negative reviews and calling the entire team incompetent because an individual was not able to reach their own goals after given all tools necessary is insulting to your co-workers. With an attitude like that it would be hard to succeed anywhere. At Equilibrium you have the brightest technical engineers and managers, but having a poor personal attitude will hinder you to take advantage of those resources. As professionals being able to accept constructive criticism is a must if we strive to grow and succeed – from managers, administrators or your peers. All are willing to help and provide different ideas in the process. Everyone at Equilibrium are professionals and are tirelessly helping guide each other on the right path. As an IT Consultant our mindset is to always serve our customers and provide service when they needed. Equilibrium employees and engineers are held to high standards and ALWAYS encouraged to have the client in mind – especially when it comes to billing. Managing client expectations is important as a role in consulting. Equilibrium encourages personal and professional growth and aspirations inside and outside of work. EQ knows that and asks for help when needed. Internal projects are essential to help the business grow. Team building events allow us the opportunity to connect with fellow peers to grow our soft skills. They are encouraged, not mandatory, and provide many opportunities to connect with each team member socially. Also, as engineers, we need to be driven and determined to succeed. A desire to learn new skills on your own time needs to be built within your fabric otherwise you settle to be an average engineer. The individual complaining in the previous post seems like they are not willing to learn. If you are a smart employee you track your time for internal and personal efforts because when you go above and beyond EQ rewards it! Being a team player is required to succeed not only at Equilibrium, but in any industry. All the engineers strive to help each other out and reach goals. Mentoring other engineers is part of team building and helping build great engineers. EQ provides access to great mentors willing to provide guidance, a lot of opportunities to success and learn new technologies. Equilibrium is a Veteran Owned company and is more than willing to hire/work with anyone with the right skills looking for opportunities succeed. If having our processes and procedures documented and following them is “running like the military” then to me that is a good thing. The bonus structure is clearly defined and very much attainable for all engineers who focus on the work at hand. Benefits are above industry standards and Equilibrium contributes quite a bit when it comes to helping with costs of premiums. The management team is understanding when we need flexibility for personal appointments too. The 401k match is exactly how others have described it on Glassdoor – up to a 4% match. The office is clean, always stocked with drinks and snacks, with plenty of parking on the street and in the private lot. A simple google search will show you that! For any future EQ employee, don't let an individual former employee’s hate stop you from deciding to take a chance on your professional development. Success at Equilibrium has a lot to do with one's attitude to learning. Equilibrium provides you with all the tools, mentors and opportunities to succeed, what you do with those tools and time is up to you.

Cons

Not a good company if you just want to get by and don't want to grow your skills.

Pros

Quality work is rewarded. Those whom have left bad/false reviews are just bitter they were unable to hang. If you can follow direction and are eager to learn there are no limits to what you can obtain professionally here.

Cons

We work in IT and it can be a bit stressful at times. Those with a dispensation for occasionally having to work hard might find it difficult. Glassdoor should require some sort of authentication mechanism to eliminate the multiple false claims.
