Pros

Flagstone is a fast-moving, forward thinking company where you’re abilities are trusted from day one. If you have a smart idea, people genuinely listen, and more importantly, they’ll back you to make it happen. The culture is dynamic, full of great colleagues who lift each other up, and there’s a strong emphasis on personal growth and development. It’s the kind of environment where you can shape your role, learn quickly, expedite learning of new skills and see the impact of your work. New senior leadership especially in my function has also enabled growth, removed blockers and really supported personal development in my team and I, empowering us to really to excel on what we deliver but more importantly and grow our skills in line with the business. There is also flexibility working from home or the option of coming to our centrally located office which has lots of social events on throughout the year.

Cons

As the company continues to scale at pace, processes are still evolving and redundant process are being streamlined or removed, which can sometimes mean a degree of ambiguity while the change gets implemented. That said, if you enjoy building things and reinventing ways of working and shaping rather than inheriting rigid systems, you’ll definitely see this as a positive. Things can move quickly, but that’s part of the excitement. It’s a place for people who thrive in change, and want to build things, not those who need everything mapped out for them or fear change.

Pros

There’s a genuine commitment to building a positive employee experience, not just talking about it. The company invests in meaningful benefits, regularly seeks employee feedback, and takes visible action on it. The team is proactive and thoughtful, and leadership is generally accessible and transparent about direction and priorities. It’s a place where you can have real impact—especially if you enjoy shaping processes, improving how things work, and contributing beyond your immediate role. There’s also a strong emphasis on wellbeing and inclusion, which comes through in both policies and day-to-day culture.

Cons

The pace is fast and things can evolve quickly, so you need to be comfortable with change and a bit of ambiguity. If you enjoy a dynamic environment and don’t mind priorities shifting from time to time, you’ll do well here.
