Pros
Nice office.
Nice cafe and shopping nearby.
Free all day parking.
Company cars, though check if they are registered yourself. They had one staff member driving a car whose rego had expired more than 6 months and had her arrested for theft of the car and company petrol card. It could have been taken in hopes of securing final pay, which never happens with this company, regardless of circumstances or resignation as I was, or termination.
Cons
No training.
100% billable hours, expected to do minimum of 9 billable hours per day.
Verbally you will get advised you will be reimbursed for items such as petrol, printing paper, car wash, car service and resources, but then will gaslight you telling you aren't approved in writing.
You are unlikely to be paid any super, as they will make up some excuse as they have done for the countless staff which have left.
You will be asked to work a minimum of 1.5-2 hours unpaid overtime each day and this needs to be billable work. If you don't meet this, you will get informed you are committing fraud and threatened to have your registration revoked.
You will be required to write reports for clients you have never met, and if you decide to leave to avoid paying you, they will say you haven't completed the work. Keep record and evidence to back yourself. Once they see the evidence of work having been completed, they will then say ok but it wasn't to standard as a way of avoiding paying your salary.
They will ask to use your accreditation for staff which have departed or which are not yet registered, and if you push back and ask to review the work you will be signing off on, you will get told follow your billable calendar. If you are leaving the field, be mindful your accreditation is not still used by this former company to sign off on reports.
You are not allowed to take sick day, annual leave and if you do, you get told how much money you cost the company and you are the reason why staff are not getting paid on time.
Tasks referred to as non - billable you are expected to do free and come early or finish late: taking car to service, wash the car, vacuum the office, dust the office, answer office phone, offer support to new staff with learning.
The building is located in a high break in area, many violent break ins and thefts, yet you are expected to be in the building alone completing case notes after hours, especially high risk in winter when it gets darker sooner.
If you are a worker awaiting employer confirmation for NDIS check, you will not get this as none of the staff that have worked there were granted this one simple thing.
