Management are either incompetent at addressing needs of the department. Senior leadership is constantly deputising elements of their roles begging the question of how they have retained their own title/job role. Progression is stifled and is not awarded based on ability, contribution or expertise. Instead, it is distributed based on your ability to look past all of the above, whilst providing no solutions, and cosying up to management. Turnover has massively accelerated in the past 12 months with nearly 45 staff leaving or being fired. Some staff are being written up for 48 seconds of lateness whilst other members of staff whom are inadequate in the role retain their position. The notion of being open to suggestion and criticism by the department leader is a facade, and when met with comments reflective of the state of things and suggestions on how to rectify it, they are soon shot down. You will then find those very same suggestions being implemented months later when it is believed that you have long since forgotten about your contributions, with not even a thanks thrown your way. It is definitely the case that Betfred has company values; however, the ability for the decision-makers and managers within to uphold them is an entirely different story.
