      Pros

      Contributed to one of the largest e-Governance projects in the Indian healthcare sector at ESIC. Gained hands-on experience in digitalizing medical, insurance, and administrative processes. Worked on critical modules like ERP, HIS, and beneficiary service platforms. Engaged in real-time issue resolution, legacy system integration, and public service optimization. Collaborated across departments to ensure compliance, scalability, and user-centric design.

      Cons

      Since the entire project is managed by external vendors, it becomes difficult to gain a clear understanding of the system architecture and internal workflows. There is no structured knowledge transfer mechanism, making it challenging to connect with senior members and understand the functional and technical layers of the project. The project is currently in a critical transition phase with Panchdeep 2.0 underway, and migrating legacy data and processes to the new system is a major challenge. ESIC lacks an in-house technical cadre, resulting in limited technical ownership, reduced decision-making capabilities, and dependency on vendors for even minor technical interventions.
