- Relaxed environment
- Office space is open, but spacious and quiet when work needs to be done
- Good downtown location with a nice view (at this time we're across from Chapters)
- Small enough team that anyone can contribute ideas easily
- Overtime is reasonable and sometimes compensated
- Good computer equipment (several monitors, mechanical keyboards, decent performance)
Cons
- No benefits or stock options (yet)
- Being a small startup, there is a greater risk of the company closing (although personally I think it's on track for a good future)
- No company parking, I'd recommend cycling or busing
- Run by young people interested in solving practical problems
- Small, personal team
- Lots of opportunities for direct input
- Nice building in Downtown Victoria
Cons
- Few chances for career progression
- Your game may not get shipped if the company needs to shift its priorities
