It is a small office, and you get to know your colleagues well, most of whom are wonderful people.

Cons

Most of your value as an employee will be judged based on the hours you put in, regardless of the quality or quantity of your work during business hours. Management cares little for its employees' work-life balance, and does not compensate appropriately for the commitment they expect from employees. This is also not a good place to be when looking to get licensed. There is generally high turnover.

We’re glad to hear that you had a good experience with your colleagues, we pride in having a great team of talented individuals in our small firm and appreciate all the hard work everyone puts into the projects. We’re aware that in the past there has been a high turnover and are working very hard to show our appreciation and investment in our team. We’ve added benefits such as more compensation days, summer hours and staff social events to boost morale. We’ve also hired new management staff to better distribute project tasks to reduce longer work hours. Come work for a year as a junior to gain experience then go to a real design studio.

Cons

High turnover rate. Shared bathrooms with other companies. Little PTO. Health insurance isn’t great. Copays are high. Poor office hygiene. Poor senior management. Little comp time. Long working hours. No leadership or mentorship. No room to grow.
