Pros

Been here over six years and have grown a lot within the company. Clear goals and standards, good performance is rewarded, creativity is rewarded, The actual work is fun and interesting. Management actually cares about employees and their lives (incredibly helpful when my daughter was in the ICU and I needed special accommodations and understanding).

Cons

High standards, strict deadlines, must meet performance goals.

Pros

The company is in a fast-growing stage with lots of opportunities. If you're willing to learn, you can grow very quickly. The team is friendly and supportive, with a diverse and collaborative culture. There are also fun company activities and coworkers are always willing to help each other.

Cons

The fast-paced environment can be intense, and organizational structure changes from time to time, which can create pressure.

Pros

I am truly grateful to be part of the Crazy Maple Studio family. Having worked at three different film production companies in LA, this is the first place where I feel that my voice is genuinely heard, and my creativity in storytelling is able to thrive. From the moment I joined, I felt welcomed and valued. What makes Crazy Maple Studio exceptional is its collaborative and supportive culture. Here, the concept of hierarchy barely exists. Everyone is incredibly focused, talented, and committed to what they do. Ideas and opinions from every team member matter because that is the foundation of great storytelling. No idea is ever dismissed as "bad," and the open exchange of thoughts is encouraged, which fosters a truly creative and inspiring environment. One of the aspects I admire most about Crazy Maple Studio is its celebration of diversity and inclusivity. I see so many incredible women thriving here, with over 80% of department heads being women—a rare and empowering achievement. When the CEO visits the office, he makes an effort to connect with each of us personally, talking with warmth and respect, like a friend rather than a distant executive. I also see people from completely different cultural backgrounds working together seamlessly, united by a common purpose: to create stories that resonate with audiences worldwide and grow together as a team. It has been disheartening to see comments regarding language barriers faced by international employees or suggestions that this company only suits recent graduates. It truly breaks my heart to work with someone who don't see or believe diversity in language and culture as a strength of the company. While Crazy Maple Studio is indeed a startup and has many young, enthusiastic team members, this is precisely what makes the company special. It provides equal opportunities to everyone, valuing passion and potential over experience alone. I find it inspiring that this company doesn’t overlook those who are less experienced but are deeply driven and dedicated to their work. I am equally impressed by the remarkable efforts of our office management team. They successfully set up and transitioned our office from Framestore in less than a month—an incredible feat. They continue to improve our working environment every day. I notice and appreciate the small, thoughtful details: delicate gifts thoughtfully placed for us to enjoy, freshly brewed coffee ready first thing in the morning, and a well-organized parking system. Despite being a small team, they make the office feel like a welcoming home. Working at Crazy Maple Studio, particularly with ReelShort, is something I take great pride in. I love being part of this team and contributing to its growth. Here, creativity, collaboration, and diversity thrive, and I am excited to grow alongside this company as we bring our stories to audiences around the world.

Cons

I hope the company can host more events for people working on ReelShort productions to better connect with one another, especially those in Post Production, Production, and the actors.
