      Pros

      -Pay -Benefits -Work Life Balance -Colleagues CIHS has been such an incredible place to work! I love working for a company and a CEO that cares about people. To work for a company whos main goal is helping the underserved population in our small community, is so fulfilling. Our CEO is also a clinician and aside from running a company he is also out in the field helping staff and community members. It's wonderful to work for someone and work with a team who has integrity and a passion for helping others.

      Pros

      When I started they immediately treated me like family. I was new to the area and everyone was very helpful and made me feel welcome. They provided a lot of really good training and support. Also, they helped me get my license.

      Cons

      The region is pretty big. There are a lot of people we serve and sometimes we do have to drive a bit, but we do get reimbursed for travel.

      CIHS is a great place to work!

      Pros

      CIHS is one of the few agencies that worked to stay open and not lay off people during COVID. Direct-services staff are dedicated to providing behavioral health services to the people who need them the most. I respect and admire the way the executives have been transparent with information during the Medicaid transition to managed care organizations, as well as efforts to address COVID-19 concerns. Most of all, I value my co-workers' integrity, commitment, and collaboration. CIHS is my work family.

      Cons

      With seven locations, we are all so spread out that it's hard to get together outside of our site work teams. Since that's not a big thing, that's a very small con.
