Mission Haggen’s mission is to provide our guests with the best selection of fresh, local and homemade foods along with a full assortment of everyday groceries. Our stores provide a sense of warmth, community, friendliness and a dedication to genuine customer service. We connect to our varied communities through food. We support a sustainable food economy by supporting local farms, ranchers, fisheries, and businesses. We are loyal to customers that care about access to quality fresh food.
Description Haggen is committed to the Pacific Northwest food enthusiast who values their community and is concerned about their food sources. With 15 stores operating north of Seattle, Haggen stores feature specialty departments like an in-store scratch bakery, floral and garden shop, full service meat and seafood counters featuring locally ranched beef and sustainable seafood, high quality produce and an extensive delicatessen featuring chef-prepared recipes. Haggen works with hundreds of local producers to source and offer local products and ingredients alongside conventional groceries. Some stores offer such amenities as Starbucks coffee shops or child care centers. Haggen connects with local communities by funding local school projects, supporting food drives, toy drives, and other relief efforts. In June of 2016, Haggen was acquired by Albertsons but continues to operate out of Bellingham, WA, as it has since 1933.
