The company designs, distributes, and installs phone, messaging, videoconferencing, data networking, and contact management systems from such hardware and software vendors as Avaya, Mitel Networks, Polycom, and Hewlett-Packard. It sells communications equipment to the hospitality industry, including a line of call accounting products capable of tracking phone usage data. XETA also provides network consulting and installation services and offers managed services for maintenance and upgrades to legacy systems made by bankrupt telecom equipment maker Nortel. XETA was acquired by PAETEC acquired in 2011 for about $61 million.
