Before it's eaten as a salad, casserole, or steak, tuna must first be captured -- and that's where Tri Marine International comes in. Operating and selling in countries around the world, Tri Marine was the #1 North American seafood supplier in 2008 (Trident Seafoods was #2). The company is a major supplier of raw albacore, raw light meat (skipjack, yellowfin, bigeye, and bluefin), cooked, and processed tuna. Its operations includes a fleet of some 10 refrigerated cargo ships that sail the Pacific and Indian oceans, as well as both contracted and affiliated fishing boats. It also operates more than half a dozen processing plants located around globe.
