Key position responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Perform electrical breakdown repairs, preventative and corrective maintenance on production and site equipment.
- Diagnose and repair faults on motors, sensors, safety systems, and industrial controls.
- Install, maintain, and calibrate electrical equipment and machinery.
- Record labour, work orders, and parts usage in CMMS (e.g., Mainpac).
- Support predictive maintenance and condition monitoring activities.
- Troubleshoot and maintain PLCs, HMIs, VSDs, and automation systems.
- Support commissioning and integration of new control systems and equipment.
- Ensure electrical drawings and schematics are accurate and updated.
- Advantageous: Rockwell/Allen-Bradley or equivalent PLC software experience.
- Apply safe isolation and Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) procedures at all times.
- Adhere to Food Safety, Quality, and regulatory requirements (including MAF).
- Identify hazards, participate in risk assessments, and escalate as required.
- Contribute to sustainability targets through efficient energy, water, and waste use.
- Work closely with fitters, technicians, engineers, and production staff to ensure minimal downtime.
- Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and project teams for electrical and control support.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including problem-solving sessions.
Provide training and guidance to apprentices when required.

About you:
- NZ EWRB Registered Electrician with current practicing license.
- Industrial electrical experience, ideally in FMCG or manufacturing.
- Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of sensors, machine timing, safety systems, and automation.
- Computer literacy (MS Office, CMMS, PLCs, SCADA).
- Ability to work independently and in a team under pressure.
- PLC/automation software knowledge (Rockwell or equivalent).
- NZQA Level 4 Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
- LOTO certification (or willingness to complete within first month).
- Current, clean NZ Driver’s License.
- Works well both independently and in a team.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Ability to support a continuous operation (24 hours, 7 days per week)
