About us
OneReg sits at the cutting edge of aviation and SaaS, helping shape the future of aviation compliance. Our platform brings together real-time oversight, unified information management and smarter workflows, helping aviation organisations move away from manual, complex processes and into a more connected, configurable SaaS product world. We’re growing quickly and looking for a Junior Front-End Developer who notices the little things that make software feel clear, polished and easy to use.
About the role
You’ll join OneReg’s engineering team in Auckland, working closely with product, developers, QA and implementation teams across New Zealand, Dubai, the UK and the EU. This hands-on front end development role is ideal for a junior software developer or JavaScript developer who cares about clean, usable customer experiences.
You’ll work on existing screens and flows, build new front-end features and help with white-labelling and branding updates. A big part of the role is making the product feel clearer, more consistent and easier to use. That means noticing the small things, like spacing, layout, wording, error messages and how each interaction feels for the user.
-
Improve product screens and user flows.
- Build front-end features using HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
- Support UI, branding and white-labelling updates.
- Work with product and engineering on improvements.
- Fix layout, spacing, responsiveness and interaction issues.
- Spot small details that make the product easier to use.
- Learn APIs, Python/Django and the wider platform.
This isn’t a narrow front-end role. You’ll get to think like a user, spot what feels clunky, care about the details behind the experience and help shape a product used in complex aviation compliance environments.
-
1–3 years’ front-end or web app experience; strong graduates considered.
- Strong HTML, CSS and JavaScript fundamentals.
- Genuine interest in front-end, UI/UX and product quality.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in clean, consistent work.
- Curiosity, coachability, strong problem-solving and clear written and verbal communication.
- Full NZ work rights, Auckland-based and able to onboard onsite.
You do not need to know everything, but you’ll need to show practical front-end work through experience, study, projects, GitHub or a portfolio.
Helpful experience:
- Portfolio, GitHub, app, game, bootcamp, uni or personal projects.
- React, Angular, Vue or another modern front-end framework.
- Experience improving UI, user flows, layout or responsiveness.
- Evidence you notice the details that make products easier to use.
- Exposure to SaaS, web applications or product environments.
Bonus skills:
- Python or Django exposure.
- API integration or backend concepts.
- UX/UI design, prototyping, wireframing or product thinking.
- Accessibility or responsive design exposure.
- Aviation or regulated systems experience.
About you
Detail-focused, curious and practical, you ask good questions, care about getting the small things right and naturally notice uneven spacing, confusing flows, clunky wording, misaligned layouts and little issues that can make software harder to use. This role will suit someone who enjoys improving user experiences and turning small improvements into clean, usable interfaces, and is looking for a front-end and product-focused role rather than a purely back-end development role.
-
Build real product features in a global aviation SaaS platform.

- Work across front-end, UX, product and backend concepts.
- See your work improve how customers use the platform every day.
- Join a growing international start-up where you can have a real voice early on.
