About the Role - Korero mo te Turanga
We are looking for a proactive and people-focused Team Manager Shared Services to lead a newly established team within the Food Risk Management Directorate. You will provide leadership and direction across a range of shared business services, ensuring the smooth delivery of planning, reporting, project management, business analysis, and capability support functions.
Working closely with leaders across the directorate, you will help drive operational excellence, continuous improvement, and high-quality support that enables regulatory teams to focus on delivering their core work.

About the Team - Mo to matou Ropu
The Team Manager Shared Services sits under the Manager Food Act Operations within the Food Risk Management directorate of New Zealand Food Safety (NZFS). Food Risk Management is responsible for setting standards for food production, processing, importing, and exporting; identifying emerging food safety risks; and delivering an agile and evolving food compliance and response system.
The Shared Services team is a team of eight people, with a wide range of roles such as analysts, advisers and service designers that will be working to support verifiers, evaluators, other internal and external stakeholders with their requirements under the Food Act, Animal Products Act and Wine Act.
Based primarily out of Wellington, our team is hard working and friendly. People enjoy working in this team because we have an energetic and positive team environment. Our work spans across many areas and so there will always be opportunities to learn, grow, and try new things.
