The Opportunity | Te āheinga
We’re looking for a motivated and organised Water & Wastewater Administration Assistant to join our team on a 2-year fixed-term contract, providing cover while our permanent team member is on secondment.
Reporting to the Quality & Compliance Lead - Three Waters, this role plays an important part in supporting our Water and Wastewater Treatment Plant teams. You’ll provide a wide range of administrative support to help ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of essential water services for our community.
This is a varied role where no two days are the same. From coordinating documentation and maintaining records, to supporting compliance processes, purchasing, reporting, and team administration, you’ll be a key part of keeping things running efficiently behind the scenes.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys working collaboratively, has great attention to detail and takes pride in delivering high-quality administrative support in a busy operational environment.
Key Responsibilities | Ngā haepapa matua
General administrative support and event management for the treatment plants.
Manage both electronic and hardcopy filing of records.
Processing mail including courier packages for the treatment plants.
Invoicing, procurement and goods receipting for the treatment plants.
Invoicing for Control Systems shared services.
Coordinating training for all Three Waters Staff.
Delivery of a high standard of word processing and data entry activities in a timely manner.
Provide assistance and administer Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants quality management documentation.
Back up for Administration Assistant – Infrastructure.
Actively ensure that legislative requirements and Council policies and procedures are fulfilled, particularly in relation to all key relevant legislation.
Essential Skills and Experience | Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako
General office administration experience.
Computer literacy especially in the Microsoft Office Suite.
Sound communication skills, both oral and written.
Drivers licence.
