About the Role
As a Business Intelligence & Data Warehouse Developer, you'll design, build and optimise modern data solutions that power insights across our National Collections and Health Data Platforms. Working at the intersection of data, technology and health, you'll develop robust pipelines, scalable data models, and orchestration workflows using tools like Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, Meltano and GitHub.
You'll collaborate closely with stakeholders across the organisation, translating business needs into high-quality, reliable data solutions. From enhancing existing platforms to delivering new capabilities, your work will directly enable better, faster decision-making across the health sector.

Our team sits at the heart of Health New Zealand's data and analytics ecosystem, responsible for the National Collections and Health Data Platforms that underpin decision-making across the country. We are a multidisciplinary group of data engineers, analysts and technical specialists who are passionate about building reliable, scalable and modern data solutions. Working in a cloud-first environment, we partner closely with stakeholders across the organisation to ensure data is accessible, trusted, and delivers real value for clinicians, leaders and communities.
We're a collaborative, supportive team that values curiosity, innovation and continuous improvement. You'll be working alongside experienced professionals who are committed to sharing knowledge and lifting capability across the system. Grounded in our commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and equity, we work in partnership with Hauora Māori and Pacific teams to ensure the data platforms we build enable better outcomes for all New Zealanders.
