Product Designer — Job Description

Overview Design end-to-end product experiences by combining user research, interaction design, and visual design to solve user problems and drive business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead user-centered design for features and products: research, synthesize insights, define problems, and propose solutions.
• Create user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes to communicate design intent.
• Conduct usability testing and analyze quantitative/qualitative data to validate designs and iterate.
• Develop and maintain design systems, components, and documentation for consistent UX.
• Collaborate with PMs, engineers, researchers, and stakeholders to define scope, trade-offs, and implementation fidelity.
• Translate business and user requirements into prioritized, testable design deliverables.
• Ensure accessibility and inclusive-design practices are applied (WCAG basics).
• Deliver clear design handoffs, support implementation, and perform post-launch analysis to measure impact.
• Advocate for users across the product lifecycle and present design rationale to cross-functional teams.
• Mentor junior designers and contribute to team processes and growth.

Qualifications

• 2–5+ years product design experience (adjust per level) with a portfolio showing end-to-end work (research → shipped product).
• Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, or similar design/prototyping tools; familiarity with design-system tooling (Storybook) is a plus.
• Strong interaction design, information architecture, and visual design skills.
• Experience running or interpreting user research and usability tests; comfortable with both qualitative and quantitative inputs.
• Knowledge of front-end constraints (HTML/CSS/JS) and ability to collaborate closely with engineers.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in design, HCI, or equivalent experience preferred.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

• Experience with design systems, motion/micro-interactions, or product analytics tools (Amplitude, Mixpanel).
• Familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive design methods.
• Experience in mobile-first, B2B SaaS, or consumer product domains.

Working Conditions

• Cross-functional, agile environment; hybrid or remote options common.
• Participate in sprint cycles, design critiques, and product planning; occasional user-research fieldwork or travel.

• Feature adoption, task success, and user-satisfaction metrics.
• Time-to-delivery and quality of design handoffs.
• Impact on product KPIs (engagement, retention, conversion).
• Design-system adoption and component reuse rates.

Pay: $7,435.94 – $10,757.39 per month
