Full Stack Product Engineer — Job Description

Summary

Design, build, and maintain end-to-end product features across frontend and backend systems; collaborate with product, design, QA, and platform teams to deliver scalable, user-focused solutions from concept to production.

Key responsibilities

• Feature development: Implement product features across frontend and backend, owning technical design, development, testing, and rollout.
• System architecture: Design scalable services, APIs, and data models; evaluate trade-offs for performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Frontend engineering: Build responsive, accessible UIs using modern frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, Angular); implement state management and client-side routing.
• Backend engineering: Develop REST/GraphQL APIs, business logic, authentication/authorization, background jobs, and integrations.
• Databases &* storage:* Design and manage relational and NoSQL schemas, ensure data integrity, optimize queries, and handle migrations.
• Testing &* quality:* Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests; participate in code reviews and enforce coding standards.
• DevOps &* CI/CD:* Configure pipelines, deployment automation, monitoring, and observability; troubleshoot production issues and perform rollbacks when needed.
• Product collaboration: Work with PMs and designers on requirements, acceptance criteria, and prioritization; translate product goals into technical plans.
• Performance &* scalability:* Profile and optimize application performance, caching, and scalability; design for high availability and fault tolerance.
• Security &* compliance:* Implement secure coding practices, data protection, and compliance requirements (e.g., OWASP mitigations, encryption).
• Mentorship &* documentation:* Mentor engineers, contribute to onboarding, and produce clear technical documentation and runbooks.

Qualifications

• Experience: 3–7+ years building web or product engineering systems; full-stack experience required.
• Education: BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Technical skills:
• Frontend: JavaScript/TypeScript, modern frameworks (React/Vue/Angular), HTML5, CSS3, accessibility.
• Backend: Node.js/Express, Python/Django/Flask, Ruby on Rails, Java/Spring, Go, or similar.
• APIs: RESTful and/or GraphQL design.
• Databases: PostgreSQL/MySQL and a NoSQL option (MongoDB, Redis).
• Testing: Jest, Mocha, Cypress, Playwright, or equivalents.
• DevOps: Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD (GitHub Actions, CircleCI), cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Soft skills: Strong problem-solving, collaboration, product-minded, effective communicator, and ability to balance speed with technical quality.
• Bonus: Experience with microservices, event-driven architectures, observability stacks, mobile/web hybrid frameworks, or ML product integration.

Pay: $8,750.43 – $12,083.54 per month
