We’re looking for a Graduate Geologist to join our geothermal team in Rotorua. This is a great opportunity to build your geoscience career while contributing to the safe, sustainable and effective management of Mercury’s geothermal resources. You’ll work alongside experienced geoscientists, engineers, environmental specialists, operations teams, contractors and external partners. You’ll gain hands-on experience across geothermal monitoring, compliance reporting, field performance, resource management and project support.
As a Graduate Geologist, you’ll provide technical support across Mercury’s geothermal portfolio, with a focus on geoscience, resource monitoring and operational performance. You’ll help plan, deliver and report on geoscientific surveys, support consent and compliance requirements, and contribute to multidisciplinary assessments of geothermal field performance. You’ll also develop your understanding of geothermal operations, well targeting, drilling, monitoring programmes and sustainable resource management.
This role will suit someone who enjoys technical work, field-based learning, collaboration and turning data into clear, useful insights.
