Unipharm Health Manufacturing Ltd is a New Zealand owned nutraceutical product manufacturer based in the industrial park center of Albany Auckland, with a major focus on health product manufacturing and export. The Company contract manufactures nutraceutical and general health products in a wide range of. We are expanding our NZ and Australia domestic OEM business and are seeking an experienced commercial professional to lead this growth.

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Quality Specialist to join our growing health product manufacturing team.

In this role, you will coordinate technical and quality-related activities to ensure production complies with all relevant food safety, regulatory, and quality standards. You will also troubleshoot food safety and quality issues in a timely manner to support smooth and efficient production operations. Working closely with internal stakeholders including R&D, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Logistics teams, you will help ensure successful production execution and timely order fulfilment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform batch release activities including review of batch manufacturing records, QC results, and supporting documentation to ensure compliance with internal specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain and improve Quality Management Systems (QMS) including SOPs, deviation management, CAPA, change control, and document control processes.
• Support internal and external audits, regulatory inspections, and customer compliance requirements to ensure ongoing certification and operational compliance.
• Conduct quality-related training for production and operational staff to promote food safety, GMP awareness, and quality culture across the business.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives through trend analysis, root cause analysis, and implementation of quality enhancement programs.
• Other jobs may be assigned from the reporting Manager if any.

About You

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Chemistry, or related field.
• 2-3 years’ experience in similar roll is preferred
• Experience working under RMP or HACCP environment is preferred
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Self-driven and ability to work autonomously and show initiative
• Capability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines
• Competency in data entry and proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word and Excel.

Pay: $60,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
