Experienced Forklift Operator / Loader - Afternoon Shift

We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator / Loader to join a busy and well-established transport company.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in freight loading and forklift operation. We are specifically looking for an experienced loader who understands how to safely and efficiently load a variety of trucks and trailers. This is not an entry-level forklift role - proven loading experience is essential.
Shift

Afternoon Shift
Monday to Friday, Potential Saturdays, 3:00pm - approximately 1:00am

What We're Looking For

• Current OSH Forklift Certification
• Proven forklift operating experience
• Solid experience loading and unloading trucks and trailers
• Strong understanding of freight distribution and load security
• Good computer skills and confidence using transport and freight systems
• Ability to book ferry crossings and complete transport-related administration
• Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
• Physically fit and capable of working in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to pass pre-employment checks, including drug testing and reference checks

Key Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading freight using a forklift
• Ensuring trucks are loaded safely, accurately, and efficiently
• Checking freight and preparing loads for dispatch
• Booking ferry crossings and assisting with transport logistics
• Completing freight documentation and computer-based administration
• General warehouse and yard duties
• Following all Health & Safety procedures and site requirements
