We are seeking an experienced and motivated Site Supervisor (Dispatch & Operations) to oversee the daily operations of our mining site. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating site activities, supervising operational staff, managing dispatch schedules, and ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements while maintaining production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily mining site operations to ensure efficient workflow, productivity, and operational continuity.
• Lead and supervise a team of operational staff, contractors, and equipment operators, typically ranging from 5–15 personnel.
• Prepare and manage shift rosters, workforce allocation plans, and daily work schedules.
• Monitor and manage dispatch activities, including scheduling vehicles, equipment, materials, and personnel.
• Authorise dispatch schedules and operational priorities to meet production targets.
• Allocate tasks, monitor staff performance, and provide ongoing leadership, coaching, and performance feedback.
• Ensure all site activities comply with company policies, health and safety regulations, environmental requirements, and industry best practices.
• Conduct regular site inspections and identify operational risks, hazards, and opportunities for improvement.
• Liaise with management, contractors, suppliers, transport providers, and external stakeholders to ensure smooth site operations.
• Monitor equipment utilisation and coordinate maintenance requirements with relevant personnel to minimise downtime.
• Track production targets, operational outputs, and key performance indicators (KPIs), taking corrective action where required.
• Maintain accurate operational records, production reports, dispatch logs, timesheets, and site documentation.
• Investigate operational incidents, delays, equipment failures, and safety concerns, and implement corrective actions.
• Participate in recruitment, induction, training, and development of operational staff.
• Support workforce planning and succession planning initiatives.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to enhance productivity, efficiency, safety, and cost control.
• Assist senior management with operational planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.

Skills and Experience

• Relevant experience in mining, quarrying, civil construction, transport logistics, or a related operational environment.
• Demonstrated experience in a supervisory or leadership role overseeing site-based operations.
• Strong understanding of dispatch coordination, workforce management, and production planning.
• Sound knowledge of workplace health and safety legislation and risk management practices.
• Ability to lead teams, manage competing priorities, and make effective operational decisions.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
• Competent computer skills, including operational reporting and record management.
