About Us
The Auckland Regional Forensic Psychiatry Service, or the Mason Clinic as it is often known, is the largest Forensic Mental Health Service in New Zealand. We serve the four Northern District Health Boards including all courts in the northern region and five prisons.
We deliver a comprehensive range of Forensic Mental Health Services, including secure inpatient acute and rehabilitation services which connect to community rehabilitation services, services for offenders with an intellectual disability, culture specific programmes for Maori, court liaison and prison mental health services. This includes a regional service to Northland Region Corrections Facility at Ngawha and Northland.
About You
You will have a passion for and dedication to Forensic Mental Health care, a contemporary and evidence based approach to clinical and professional nursing practice, and exemplary leadership skills and knowledge. You will be a positive nursing identity and an advocate for admissions from court for medico legal assessments under Sections 23(2)(b), 35(2)(b) and 38(2) (c) of the Criminal Procedure (Mentally Impaired Persons) Act.
