About the role:

We are seeking a highly capable and experienced distribution leader with a deep, practical understanding of the New Zealand distribution network.

This is a critical leadership role where you will take ownership of our national distribution operations, ensuring they are safe, efficient, and high-performing, while maintaining a strong focus on people leadership and operational excellence.

Your ability to balance strategic operational delivery with strong, people-first leadership will be key to success.

What you’ll be doing:

• Leading and optimising Ecolab’s end-to-end New Zealand distribution network, with a clear understanding of local logistics challenges and opportunities
• Demonstrating hands-on leadership across warehousing, transport, and third-party logistics partnerships
• Building, coaching, and developing high-performing teams, creating a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement
• Striking the right balance between people leadership and operational execution, ensuring both employee engagement and performance outcomes are achieved
• Partnering with freight providers and internal stakeholders to deliver reliable, efficient, and customer-focused distribution solutions
• Using data-driven insights to improve network performance, cost efficiency, and service levels
• Driving compliance with safety, regulatory, and Dangerous Goods requirements

What you’ll bring:

• Proven leadership experience in distribution or logistics, ideally at a national or multi-site level
• A thorough, demonstrable understanding of the New Zealand distribution landscape, including transport networks, regional challenges, and third-party logistics
• Strong capability in leading people while delivering operational results; you know how to get the best out of teams while maintaining performance standards
• A track record of successfully balancing operational priorities with team engagement and development
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across cross-functional teams
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify opportunities and implement improvements
• Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, TPM, or similar) is highly regarded
• Exposure to Dangerous Goods compliance is highly regarded
