About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and organised Laboratory Logistics Assistant to join our Laboratory Services team at Middlemore Hospital.
In this essential role, you will help ensure the smooth and efficient operation of laboratory services by coordinating inventory management and the timely distribution of reagents and critical laboratory supplies. Supporting both the laboratory and 82 clinical areas across Middlemore Hospital and Manukau Health Park, you will play a key role in maintaining the reliable supply of materials required to deliver high-quality diagnostic services.
Working closely with laboratory staff, suppliers, and internal stakeholders, you will assist with logistics planning, monitor stock levels, coordinate deliveries, and contribute to continuous improvements in inventory processes. You will also support cost-effective purchasing practices while ensuring compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.
