As our business continues to expand, we are seeking a motivated and technically capable Telecommunications Engineer to join our Auckland-based team.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, test, and maintain telecommunications and network equipment, including routers, switches, and related communication systems.
• Assist with the implementation and support of LAN, WAN, VLAN, and IP-based network environments.
• Monitor network performance and diagnose connectivity, configuration, and communication issues.
• Perform network troubleshooting and fault resolution to ensure reliable service delivery.
• Support telecommunications infrastructure upgrades, network optimisation, and system improvements.
• Configure and maintain DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, and other network services.
• Assist with customer technical support requests and provide effective solutions to network-related issues.
• Maintain technical documentation, network records, and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with internal technical teams to deliver telecommunications and infrastructure projects.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company standards, health and safety requirements, and industry best practices.

Skills and Experience Required

• Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Information Technology, Telecommunications, Computer Systems, Network Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in telecommunications, network support, network engineering, or IT infrastructure support.
• Sound understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, switching, and network troubleshooting.
• Experience configuring and supporting routers, switches, and related networking equipment.
• Familiarity with network diagnostic and monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
