We are seeking a motivated Obstetrician & Gynaecologist to join our friendly and supportive team in a full-time permanent role. This opportunity would suit either a newly qualified specialist or an experienced consultant with broad generalist skills. There are also excellent opportunities for those with an interest in teaching, service development or research.
About the Service
Our Obstetrics service provides comprehensive primary and secondary inpatient and outpatient care across the MidCentral district, including:
The neonatal unit accepts babies from 28 weeks gestation, and there are approximately 2,000 births annually across the district. Primary birthing units are located in Palmerston North, Levin and Dannevirke.
Our Gynaecology service includes:
Consultants also provide outreach clinics at Horowhenua Health Centre (Levin), Feilding and Dannevirke. We have excellent access to recently upgraded operating theatres and are excited to welcome a surgical robot later this year.
The successful applicant will participate in the on-call roster, supported by 24/7 registrar and house officer cover. The unit is accredited for both core and advanced RANZCOG trainees.
