We’re now looking for a Business Development Manager to join our Corporate team, someone who enjoys being out in front of customers, building relationships and adding real commercial value through technology.
At PB tech we are continuing to scale our Enterprise team and we need a relentless hunter to drive new opportunities. We don’t want a "farmer". We want someone who thrives on the chase and wants to prove their value in bringing in additional technology services and hardware categories to customers portfolios. This is a client-facing, outbound role combining some office-based work (Manukau based) with regular time spent on-site with enterprise customers. You’ll be responsible for developing a portfolio of commercial and enterprise accounts by understanding how businesses operate, where their costs sit and how technology can improve efficiency, security, and performance.
You’ll also play a key role in hosting and attending customer events, representing PB Tech as a trusted and approachable partner.
You won't be micromanaged; you will be given the autonomy to build your pipeline and the tools to close. You’ll be supported by the strongest team in the country and have a large depth of knowledge behind you.
Key Responsibilities
• Proactively developing and managing enterprise and commercial customer relationships
• Identifying opportunities across MSP services, hardware, software, licensing, cloud, cybersecurity, AI, mobility, and infrastructure
• Understanding customer environments, workflows, and cost pressures to provide meaningful solutions
• Working closely with internal specialists to deliver outcomes
• Hosting and attending customer events, lunches, and technology briefings
• Being visible, engaged and present with customers; not reactive or order-driven
Requirements
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills. You need to be confident, social and comfortable engaging at all levels
• A genuine interest in how businesses use technology and where IT delivers value
• Working knowledge of some IT areas such as:
o Software & licensing
o Cloud or AI solutions
o Cybersecurity
o Enterprise hardware, mobility, or warehousing technology
• Commercial awareness; you understand budgets, efficiencies, and business drivers
• Self-motivated, organised, and comfortable working independently
• Someone who enjoys being out with customers and building long-term relationships
• A proven winner; you can point to specific examples where you exceeded targets or won "rep of the year."
• You don't wait for leads to be handed to you; you go out and create them.
