What you’ll do:
As a Test Automation Engineer, you’ll play a key role in advancing Genesis’ automation capability across large-scale technology and customer platform initiatives. This is a unique opportunity to combine hands-on technical expertise with leadership, governance, mentoring, and strategic collaboration as you help bridge the gap between project delivery and BAU support.
Some of the key responsibilities are:
Lead and evolve scalable enterprise test automation frameworks and tooling
Act as the key Genesis contact for external delivery partners and programme stakeholders
Mentor and uplift a team of automation engineers and vendor partners
Drive automation-first practices across both project and BAU delivery
Collaborate across teams to improve quality outcomes, governance, and delivery alignment
Champion modern technologies, AI-assisted tooling, and continuous improvement initiatives
What you’ll bring:
You’ll bring strong automation expertise, stakeholder management capability, and a passion for growing testing capability within a collaborative enterprise environment.
You will also bring;
Extensive experience in software testing, including specialising in test automation across Web and API platforms
Strong hands-on experience with Playwright and modern automation frameworks, with programming capability in TypeScript/JavaScript, Java, or Python
Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable automation frameworks integrated into CI/CD pipelines such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions
Strong understanding of quality engineering practices, automation strategy, and testing across Agile delivery environments
Proven ability to mentor engineers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and manage third-party vendors and stakeholders effectively
Experience with modern DevOps practices, cloud technologies, mobile automation, or AI-assisted tooling would be highly regarded
