As CEO I don't need to micromanage. I'd check the news, weather, and email.

If I had to check that every morning, the first thing I'd do would be checking GlassDoor to find a list of new jobs.

First respond to any messages from the 'Red' line (em/voice/text/other). Good days are when there are none. Second, review the days schedule that you and your admin created and re-schedule appointments if needed. Third, triage and delegate issues from the 'Yellow' line as needed. There are almost always some of these.

First, I'd check to insure my responsibilities aren't being given to interviewees. Second, I'd check to see if they actually had any good ideas. And third, I would claim those ideas as my own.

1. Check phone and emails to see if there's anything I need to deal with immediately. 2. Check calendar to see what's on the agenda today. 3. Check the spelling and grammar on everything we put out to the public. It looks bad when you can't write a well-constructed sentence.

If I were the CEO I wont have to micromanage my people down the line I will let them to their job responsibly (but I'll require a feedback and listen to what they say for the improvement individually, professionally, for the growth, development and expansion of the company as a whole). I'd rather check the news, weather and my emails as I sit down and have a healthy breakfast and hot black coffee to start up the day.... I strongly believe that taking CARE of your internal employees first & hearing them out gives a more enthusiastic, loyal and passionate stellar service.

1 - Check for messages from the COO: were there any catastrophes over night - defined by a severe potential dissatisfaction from customers. 2 - Check my schedule and make sure that the most important things are on it, and that no time is allotted to trivial things. 3 - Check that my future plans for the direction of the company are on track. I'd probably do this while exercising.

1. How my family and friends are doing. 2. My messages - emails, voicemails, texts. 3. The news I would not check the stock price daily because I am worried about trends, not the day-to-day guessing of gamblers on Wall Street. The news will keep me informed so I can better prepare for the future of the company and our customers. Messages are important because I will have the proper people under me to help me be informed of problems and opportunities. Family and friends are important because they will be there with me to celebrate the successes as well as strengthen me to get through the problems.

I will check email from my admin to ensure that nothing has happened overnight which requires input from me - if there is, then respond and find out why. Subordinates at that level should be capable enough not to require emergency intervention by me. Next, check that my coffee is brewing and that I have hot water for my shower.

As the CEO of basically ant type of company I believe the first thing every morning would be to check the market for highs or lows, read the paper or watch the news for political turns over-night and check for the latest in natural disasters, especially this day & age and see if my company is effected and if so, how bad. If life changing, my next step would be to immediately call a board meeting, financial analysts, etc to assess the damage. If the world stayed quite and all is well with the market. I'd just call my receptionist for my daily schedule on my way to work and prepare for my 1st dog and pony show of the day...lol...yes I would want my employees / customers happy. I want the companies projects done on time. However, considering I am the CEO I'm pretty sure I have people that keeps checks and balances for all those things. I would like to think I had a staff that could handle our current business leaving the door open for me to bring in new business...

1- Time: I don't sleep longer 2- The mirror in the bathroom to see how beautiful, kind and communicative I look 3- and the weather, to choose what clothes I can wear Before CEO, I am a human, and if I don't give the first 10 mints of morning to myself when I wake up, I cannot be patient in the office, and you cannot make people feel welcome and happy until and unless you are not happy and welcome with your body. I would ever never check my email box when I wake up in the morning in first 10 mints and no social media because there is always good and bad news.
