How would you define the problem space for solving systems of two linear equations using elimination?

only intersecting lines (i.e., no problems with infinite solutions or no solution) -- only integer coefficients written in standard form -- easiest would be when you can directly add equations to eliminate a variable, next would be the need to multiply one equation, hardest would be the need to multiply both equations to eliminate a variable
