You politely ask the caller if you could just explain to them whatever the problem is that they're having if they get more irate then explain to them that you will still listen to what they have to finish saying if they could listen to what you have to say never be rude never get loud and never be irate back and say if that doesn't work would you like to speak to a supervisor
