I would remain calm and actively listen. I think it’s important to repeat back what your customer is saying. I would thank them for bringing the issue to my attention. I would set a follow up time with them. I believe it’s important to highlight the situation’s priority. I believe we all need to be heard.

I was in sales since 1986.When I had an upset customer I learned the most important thing I could do was to listen to them. It’s important to form a connection with your customer and realize it’s not about me but it’s about them. I was able to resolve issues by listening,making notes,calling the manufacturer and finding the best solution to finding a resolution that the customer will be happy with. 8
