Be ready to talk about availability and be flexible. If you can work more hours or shifts, that will help. Show enthusiasm for animals if it’s a pet-care role: even having pets at home, volunteering, or just being knowledgeable / interested helps. Be honest about what you don’t know, but show a willingness to learn. Prepare examples beforehand: times you dealt with multiple tasks, helped someone, solved a small problem, or showed up on time.
