Pretty clear and communicative. Occurred over Zoom because of the pandemic. While I did not get the position for this specific publication I have freelanced since, an opportunity and connection I only got through interviewing.

Ideas for magazine, past experience, standard stuff.
Initial interview with the would-be manager was nice. But the task was unnecessarily long and time-consuming. I then had another interview. And then HR didn't ever get back to me and provided no feedback, which is a real shame.

The interview process was fairly informal and quick. I didn't think the Zoom interview went very well, and I then didn't hear for several weeks until the hiring manager confirmed they had hired someone.
