Do you need a dev/tech background for Solutions Architecture? Does anyone go into it from PM or UX?

Yes you do need a strong tech background. It is after all designing of technical aspects. I’ve never seen anyone from PM or UX doing technical architecture, with good reason. Except maybe for very high level design, like 2 websites, one CRM product/platform etc.
