Does anyone have any tips for a group interview at McDonald’s ?
As a former recruiter, I ALWAYS spoke about comp with candidates right away, as it can be one of the fastest deal breakers. How are you addressing comp if it isn't brought up? I don't want to seem like that's the only thing, but it is an important thing. I'm not sure how to handle it. Thoughts?
Just read an article from Fortune about people feeling too burnt out to apply for jobs. Is that you? I get it. This paragraph really summed it up for me: "Compounding the immobility: job seekers are being ghosted at a three-year high, with more than half of applicants reporting no response from employers in the past year. Hiring experts connect the trend directly to AI-inflated application volumes overwhelming recruiters — the same feedback loop burning candidates out. [...]"
What do you think of these answers from the Hiring Managers to my questions? What are the metrics/volume that a person handles in this role? Supervisor: There are no metrics. We don't count. We care more about quality. How do you split the work among different people in the team? Supervisor: We don't split it. There's an inbox and people just grab what's coming in. We do have trackers. Me: I just asked to see how performance is assessed.
I was laid off a month ago and I have startef studying for cisco certifications along with applying. But When I see job descriptions and number of people applied for a job it scares me. AI has made the process complecated I believe.... I have ISP tier3 experience but today's job market wants all together. Sec,cloud, routing, switching, wireless, automation, loadbalance, vpn, design, implement, trouble shoot.......
In an interview when you are asked, what is your salary expectations?how can one respond to this kind of a question?
Yes. Mention Your first time going to McDonald's. Talk about your favorite food items they sell. also, refer to any skills that you may use at home or in life that can be applied to work at McDonalds. And say things like, “I wouldn’t serve food to the public that I won’t eat myself.” Or “I enjoy working with on team. I’m motivated by others and I find that teamwork allows me to learn from others, while being helpful”
This is great actionable advice!
Collared button up shirt. Clean fingernails. Shake hands. Be polite and respectful. Say thank you. Listen. Some of your potential colleagues will not be interested in the job and their behavior will reflect that - do not get sucked in. Ask questions about the workday. If they tell you about tasks during the workday, tell them about where you've done similar tasks in the past. Ask them what differentiates a good hire. Ask what success looks like after a first shift.
Just be yourself and dress professionally
Be professional and responsible. That goes a long way. Prepare for situation-based questions. What would you do if a customer were upset? That kind of thing. Best of luck!
A group interview at McDonalds? I have only had one on one interviews at McDonald's although that was over 37 years ago. I would say to dress business casual, wear your pants properly (not down at your butt) if you have any facial piercings to remove them, and cover up any / all visible tattoos that you might have. If you have polished fingernails, make sure, they are the same color plus watch the cologne or perfume as someone might be allergic to it.
