This Senior Operations Manager provides leadership for operations and engineering activities within Cubic. This includes engaging with Program Management and customer staff, establishing and monitoring work priorities and schedules, and providing direction to the operations and engineering team.

This role is responsible for the development of objectives and long-range goals of the organization, providing input to organisational budgets and plans and providing guidance to teams.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Leads effective execution of Cubic work packages in support of Product Line Objectives and Global Delivery Programs; delivering high quality, within budget and on time or early.
  • Acts as liaison with other managers and customer representatives (both internal and external) concerning the projects, operational decisions, scheduling requirements, or contractual clarification.
  • making based on forecasted workEnsure office leadership team supports and undertakes local detailed resource planning, including local hiring and contingent vs permanent decision
  • Participates in the performance evaluation process and recommends salary adjustments and personnel actions to include hiring, discipline, recognition and termination.
  • Maintain a cost-effective operation, managing within a defined budget.
  • Work with Asia-Pacific (APAC) Programme Management Organisation (PMO) to adopt and enshrine local project management and planning standards
Job Requirements:
You will have a Bachelor degree in Engineering, Science or other related technical discipline

Desirable:
  • Formal leadership training
  • Formal business qualification
About You

You will have 10+ years’ experience in leadership within a technology or engineering environment. You will have a minimum of 5 years leading a multi-disciplinary business unit.

The successful candidate will have an understanding of financial reporting systems and have formal project environment following ISO 9001 development processes

This role will require flexibility, as the team is often required to support the global activities out of normal office hours, and deal with any activities arising outside of regular hours as necessary
