The Role:
As the Health & Safety Advisor for the project, you will;

• Develop and implement health & safety initiatives to ensure the project complies with H&S standards and legislations.
• Implement, coordinate and monitor health, safety and wellness policies, standards, systems, procedures and programmes.
• Carry out regular site inspections and audits to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented.
• Collaborate with National H&S Manager, as well as other project H&S Advisors/Managers to ensure consistent best practice processes are being implemented across the business.
• Advise/Train/Coach/Mentor staff and subcontractors in their health & safety responsibilities and ensure they understand safe working practices in their areas.

About You:

• 10+ year’s onsite experience working in a H&S Advisory role within the construction industry.
• Solid knowledge of NZ legal framework for EHSQ including HSE, Tunnelling, ACC and HSNO, ISO’s and industry guidelines & standards.
• Take a hands on collaborative approach to championing best practice H&S standards on the project.
• Able to balance onsite and offsite duties.
• Display strong leadership capabilities and manage multiple stakeholders.
