About the role

Our South Island Operations Manger is responsible for managing the safe, efficient and cost effective operations of a cement terminal and a number of cement depots in the area.

The focus will be on maximising the performance of people, plant and fleet to meet Holcim operational standards while delivering the require customer service standards.

About you

You are passionate about driving operational best practice and have a solid understanding of shipping and port activities.

Working across various levels within the organisation you have exceptional communication an leadership skills with 3 direct reports you have the ability to develop those around you.

You will have

Previous management experience in an operational improvement environment across multiple sites/locations
Strong business acumen and the ability to manage costs across operations
Excellent leadership experience and demostrated success in driving targeted safety behaviours to achieve zero harm
Shipping/ports logistics/heavy transport exposure
Excellent verbal and written communication
Computer literate - Word, Excel, SAP and Google suit an advantage
