Our health, safety & environmental team's core purpose is to support delivery teams in the effective implementation of the Downer management system, and build capability though coaching & mentoring.
In this role you will be required to: Support the shaping and implementation of HSE initiatives aligned with business needs and meeting relevant customer or external stakeholder requirements
Proactively facilitate a team culture of excellence and people engagement and apply a collaborative approach to working within and across other Downer teams
Coaching, mentoring, influencing and guiding frontline leadership to enable them to achieve safe, sustainable and reliable operations commensurate with a high reliability organisation of personal accountability
Provision of expert HSE support and clear impactful guidance to Infrastructure Projects leaders and HSE Advisors regionally and locally on HSE risks, frameworks and standards to enable delivery of great HSE performance at all times
Ensure compliance with legislative requirements and the HSE Act and Downer HSE frameworks and standards
Proactively support the development and implementation of Downer HSE standard
Engage with and influence customers and stakeholders in a manner that achieves the right outcomes
The ideal candidates will have health, safety & environmental experience in the civil / infrastructure / construction sector, and will be proficient in staff management.
