Are you a marketing professional with proven experience at senior level and a commitment to higher education who is ready for a new challenge in 2019?
This new position at the University of Kent will see you shape the marketing strategy to advance our student recruitment. You will lead specialist teams to assist in the delivery of our student recruitment targets. You will engage with marketing and recruitment professionals across the University, building relationships and ensuring consistent and coordinated campaigns.
Drawing upon your expertise in utilising market analytics and optimising customer experience, you will make a significant contribution to the University as we raise the aspirations of young people and promote the benefits of higher education and the Kent student experience.
As Head of Marketing you will:
  • oversee market research and develop and implement marketing strategies to support student recruitment
  • oversee the effective development and ongoing management of digital platforms and printed collateral
  • take responsibility for the day to day management and evolution of the University's brand
  • manage the team and forge productive relationships with staff across the institution
To be successful in this role you will need:
  • to be professionally qualified in Marketing or Higher Education management
  • significant senior experience in managing and developing marketing functions
  • a proven track record of optimising customer experience and using analytics to drive conversion
  • experience of design and delivery of creative campaigns
  • excellent communications, influencing and problem-solving skills
The Marketing, Recruitment and Admissions Office comprises a team of c50 dedicated professionals who work in conjunction with the University’s academic Schools to successfully attract, recruit and admit a talented and diverse student body to the University. The service is responsible for the development and delivery of strategic plans across these operational areas to ensure that the University meets its overall strategic objectives in line with the Institutional Plan, while ensuring compliance with external statutory and regulatory requirements.
