Firth is a leading supplier of ready-mixed concrete, masonry products, and premix to the construction industry either directly or through building product distributors. It has over 2,500 active customer accounts and products are used across all building sectors and environments. Firth has a team of approximately 700+ people, working in 80 sites throughout New Zealand. It's comprised of three product groups, Certified Concrete, Masonry and Dricon.
We are looking for an Area Operations Manager to join our team. This role will be based in the Lower North Island with responsibility across the Wellington and Manawatu regions.
The role
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to lead and manage the operational activities across 5 of our Certified Plants based in Palmerston North, Levin, Kapiti Coast, Belmont and Aotea Quay to ensure that the areas financial and operational objectives are achieved.

Emphasis is on operational performance, we require a dynamic individual who can build, and maintain strong relationships with customers.
You are energetic, sales focussed, team-orientated and have proven leadership skills. A well-developed sense of business and commercial insight will see you participating in and contributing to the discussion and development of strategic issues.
You will ideally come from a production or manufacturing environment at a senior level and will have a solid understanding of standard business performance measures.
