Reporting to the Sales and Marketing Manager, the successful candidate will be required to manage an existing portfolio of customers and to use their understanding of the sales cycle to identify, prioritise and actively target prospect sales opportunities

POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Sales and Marketing Manager, the successful candidate will be required to manage an existing portfolio of customers and to use their understanding of the sales cycle to identify, prioritise and actively target prospect sales opportunities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

To be successful in this role, you will be a result’s driven individual, comfortable operating across industrial and rural networks. You will have the ability to understand relevant technical information and apply knowledge to benefit our customers. You will have an ability to relate to a variety of people and be able to easily identify opportunities for the company’s products and services. Other primary duties and responsibilities will include:
  • Provide technical and applications support to our customers on the utilization and handling of our products.
  • Identify and proactively develop growth opportunities across the region and work collaboratively with marketing, technical service and other functions within Graymont to take advantage of these opportunities.
  • Work closely with our plant personnel, technical service, and customer service departments to meet customers' expectations on quality of our products and service.
  • In collaboration with management, negotiate pricing and contractual terms with current and potential customers to achieve profitability goals.
  • Comply with sales support processes and systems including producing sales reports on customer calls.
  • Contribute to the annual sales budget for lime and limestone products.
  • Contribute to the long-term sales forecast.
  • Assist in the collection of past due accounts.
Job Requirements
  • Tertiary Qualification in Agriculture, Geology, Pastoral Science, Chemistry or similar.
  • Three to five years of Sales or Account Management experience.
  • Proven ability to take prompt and proper action within authorized scope.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal.
  • Experience working in teams and as an individual contributor to company objectives.
  • Ability to manage internal and external relationships.
  • Intermediate Computer skills - Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Exhibits strong time management and organisational skills with the ability to self-direct
  • You will also need to demonstrate a commitment to a culture that values and implements sound health and safety practices.
