Pros

I have worked at thunder::tech for many years and the flexibility in work and in life is very generous and empowering. Leadership is always available to everyone within the organization, whether you just started or if you have had many years of tenure. The work and the talented team around you is second to none. I continue to learn new and exciting tech, techniques and concepts weekly.

Cons

The pace of projects and deadlines (often driven both your own team's ambitions as well as client) can wear on you, but that is most agency and today's business expectations really. I wish there was a company helicopter.

Pros

First let me start off by saying how absolutely amazing thunder::tech has been. The t::team is incredibly close and fun to be around, whether it's in a virtual call, in the office, or at trivia night at a local bar! This was the exact work environment I was looking for in a job. Everyone is good at communicating and is transparent with each other. It is an agency so the pace is fast and you won't be bored. The company promotes a "work from anywhere" environment which is awesome, but they do try and get people into the office on Wednesdays to promote facetime with your colleagues. You might be thinking, "Ew gross...I have to go into an office". Wrong! The office space is amazing! The building used to be a torpedo factory (so I am told) and is very unique. It's an open concept and also pet friendly (someone always brings a dog on Wednesdays!). As for actual work and career growth, thunder::tech is the perfect place for me. I love to learn new things to grow in my career and the fast paced digital world that thunder::tech lives in has forced me to adapt quickly. I've learned more here in a few months than I did at my previous company over a few years. The work is rewarding and you will have a wide variety of clients that keep things interesting. Not only that, but career development is also constantly compared to a jungle gym rather than a straight ladder. Sure you can move up in the company, (and I have seen more promotions here in a few months than I ever did anywhere else) or you can move horizontally to another department if you think it would be a better fit. thunder::tech is a company that gives back to their employees and sees the value in them. I joined with a promise of a 90 day raise to compete with another offer I had. I got to the 90 day mark only to realize that they gave me the raise after my first week because they already thought I was a great fit. I don't think 99% of companies would take such a risk on a new hire, but thunder::tech wanted to show me that they were fully invested in me from the start. There are a ton of other small things that make this place awesome and make you and your work feel valued. Free coffee and snacks in the office, monthly "Hey what you did was awesome" shout outs, having St. Patrick's Day off, constant dad jokes, etc. The list goes on. I think thunder::tech has set the bar high for how other companies should treat their employees and I plan on staying here for many years to come. Couldn't imagine going back to a stale office after having the opportunity to work at a place like this!

Cons

The pool table in the office doesn't get used as much, but I am personally working on fixing this issue.
