Pros

Writopia provides lots of support and professional development to instructors. Both the administrators and the students (for the most part) are passionate and thrilled to be there.

Cons

Because Writopia operates on a sliding scale, the pay for instructors is modest.

Pros

Good training, good resources available to instructors, nice staff, and I enjoyed working with the kids (mostly)

Cons

Unless you live close to a teaching site, pay can be too low to justify the job — e.g., driving 45 minutes round trip to teach a 90-minute class. Summer camps are better in this regard because they are several hours long.
