      Lack of Diversity; Great Benefits

      Pros

Great Benefits; Great location (Seattle is a great city).

      Cons

There is a lack of diversity at all levels in UW Medicine. Lip service is given to increasing diversity but real action is lacking. Executive leadership needs to transition so new ideas and personalities can lead the organization.

      Pros

Mission to support patients and providers is real

      Cons

CIO and leaders have cashed in for themselves, but keep cutting budgets for teams. CIO is a snake oil salesman who has negotiated a HUGE salary for himself, and promised salary increases for years, but keeps making excuses. They are experts at not exactly promising but not lying - the definition of gaslighting. ITS Leaders talk about collaboration but actively undermine and blame other teams, creating a very toxic environment. While committing to "work-life balance" they schedule meetings at 7 a.m. and 6 p.m., demand that the team backfill for nurse shortages in the hospital, and publicly shame anyone who questions this.
