Pros

Benefits are decent; you get to learn how to speak PR (pepper every sentence with "leverage" and ask everyone if they "have the bandwidth").

Cons

In a nutshell, it's an unpleasant place to work. Everyone was "nice," but nobody was personable. Fraternizing, even the most minimal way, was frowned upon, as was leaving by 5:00, even if you put in 8 hours and had nothing left to do. Favoritism was rampant and demoralizing. Everything had to be done the same way -- even the way you wrote an email had to stick to the script. Everyone spoke the same, but no one spoke up, and everyone seemed afraid to do anything other than what was told of them. Taking lunch outside the office was almost unheard of, and outside calls were frowned up, even if it was the school calling about your sick kid.

Pros

Paycheck twice a month. Showcase lunch...company buys pizza and there's an awkward gathering of employees talking about the weather and weekend plans.

Cons

Worst thing about this place is the favoritism that goes on. Please take the time to read all the negative review because they were clearly written by the under paid college grads that work for Stern. The positive ones have been written by management.

Pros

The location is pretty good and the building is brand new. But you can also find thousands of other companies with new buildings and good locations.

Cons

It's nice to see that these reviews are being read. But be warned: it's an illusion. Policy changes were only implemented once the company saw all these terrible reviews. Now they pretend that the changes were there all along. Instead of admitting to their mistakes and then fixing them, the company pretends they are soaun and perfect place to be. Not true at all. In summary, this place really sucks.

It is unfortunate you feel this way and we wish you the best in your new endeavors. We understand our firm is not a fit for everyone. We have very high standards; we take feedback very seriously and continue to work hard to ensure a team-oriented environment based on trust and respect. One of the main reasons we moved was for our employees, to give them a more collaborative space and better amenities, such as a free gym.
